Ollie Road Race Challenge: Run for the Ollie – Race to the Finish Fundraising Program

Want to make a difference in the life of a child, teen or senior? A new edition to the 2008 Ollie is the Ollie Road Race Challenge: Run for the Ollie – Race to the Finish Fundraising Program. We have some fantastic incentive packages for runners who raise funds to help support the programs of the South Boston Neighborhood House.
Your donation is critical to the successful programming of the South Boston Neighborhood House. Since 1901, the South Boston Neighborhood House has been helping individuals and families become self-sufficient and prosper in society. In a time of dwindling resources and strained budgets, your generous support is needed more than ever and will ensure that the Neighborhood House can continue these efforts.
Sprinters commit to raising $100.
Your generous contribution could fund:
- One week of a summer internship for an adolescent at a local business.
- A six week Exam School Preparation Class for a sixth grader.
- Two weeks tuition fees for the part-time Playgroup Program.
- A week of introductory Computer Classes.
Pace Setters commit to raising $250.
Your generous contribution could fund:
- A weekend trip to Six Flags for one teen participant in the teen program
- A day bus shopping trip for the Jet Setters (Senior Center participants)
- 2 weeks of tuition and fees for a school-age summer camp program participant
Record Breakers commit to raising $500.
Your generous contribution could fund:
- An entire Family-Fun Night providing educational support and literacy instruction to more than 50 families
- An 8-week Hip Hop or other dance lessons for 12 Teen Arts participants
- 3 weeks tuition for one child to attend the full-day preschool program
- One month’s salary for a Substance Abuse Counselor working with adolescent support groups
These are just some examples of the many programs continuously offered though the programs and services of the South Boston Neighborhood House. Your donations are greatly appreciated!
